Yes, we require a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 and a signed booking agreement, to be paid in order to hold the space. As the date gets closer, we require that your event be prepaid in full based on a contracted number of persons/meals 14 days in advance.
Number of attendees must be provided to us no later than 14 days in advance in order to process the balance owed in advance. We will permit slight changes (within a 10% range) to your numbers 3 days in advance.
Deposits are non-refundable. Our commitment was made to you to hold the space and not entertain any other inquiries for bookings. To minimize lost revenue opportunities, we will; however, make every effort to rebook the space should time permit and refund the deposit only if the event rebooked is of equal revenue value or greater than what was contracted with you. Should you wish to change your dates, the deposit will automatically roll over to your new booking date, provided your original date is greater than 60 days away.
No, the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre provides its own food & beverage services within its facility. We do permit bringing in your wedding cake. We provide cake cutting services at a fee.
Depending on the type of set up required for your wedding and the room reserved, along with whether or not there will be a dance floor and the size of the head table required, the numbers will vary. The Main Hall (Kluskap) in its entirety would accommodate up to 500 persons. There is a minimum number to reserve the Main Hall and that is 150 persons. The Jenu Room would hold up to 200, again depending on set up styles, dance floor and head table sizes.
The Membertou Trade and Convention Centre would provide all tables, chairs, cutlery and dishware, linen table cloths and linen napkins. We would be happy to provide you with names and contact information of local event decorators to help make your special day beautiful.
The Membertou Trade and Convention Centre can provide background pre-recorded music through Spotify using our audio equipment. The cost would vary based on the equipment required and the services of our Audio-Visual technicians. We are also happy to provide you with names and contact information of local DJ’s and entertainers.
The Membertou Trade and Convention Centre doesn’t provide wedding planning services, but we would be happy to provide you with names and contact information of local planners who can help you coordinate your special occasion.
We would be happy to discuss pricing and availability for your special occasion by reaching out to one of our sales associates. Pricing would vary depending on room styles and menu selections. We offer an array of options for appetizers, entrees and desserts as well as bar services.
The Membertou Trade and Convention Centre is a busy multi-function facility and we host many weddings and events. As there are often back-to-back events at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre, we are not able to provide access to the space until 8am of the morning of your wedding. We request that all attendees to your wedding also depart the facility by 1am so we are able to clean and prepare the space for the following day’s events.
The Membertou Trade and Convention Centre provides all food and beverage services within the building. Bringing in your own food or beverage is not permitted.
No, we do not provide wedding cakes but can provide names and contact information for various suppliers. We do provide cake cutting services at a fee.
In order to ensure everyone’s enjoyment of the evening in a safe environment, we do require security be arranged through us at a fee.
Yes, we do require a seating plan be provided for your event. This will ensure that your attendees are seated appropriately and assists our team members in efficient set up and service.
