Mi'kmaq Medicine Walk
Throughout this tour, you will learn the medicinal practices used by our ancestors while walking through a beautifully wooded trail in Membertou.
The experience then continues with a dreamcatcher workshop, the breaking of traditional Luskinikn bread and a tasting of blueberry tea. And at the end of your tour, be sure to visit Well’s Craft Supplies at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre or Petroglyphs Gift Shop located next door at the Membertou Heritage Park.
This guided tour begins and ends at our Membertou Welcome Centre in the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre each Wednesday through Saturday at 9am. Wear comfortable shoes as the walking tour will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Dreamcatcher Workshop
Create and take away your own dreamcatcher and learn about the story of its origin and enjoy a blueberry tea beverage. All materials provided. Workshops run each Wednesday through Saturday at 2pm. Participants will meet at the Membertou Welcome Centre in the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre.
Beaded Flower Workshop
Create and take away your own beaded flower. All materials provided.
